• Install/upgrade/update/decommission/repair your servers and constantly, remotely, check to ensure a trouble free service on annual maintenance contract basis.
• Install/upgrade/update/repair/lease workstations/laptops and ensure their reliability
• Backup our services by telephone support, remote access and onsite visits if needed.
• Provide software solutions for your organization. We cater for various types of customizable ready made solutions to bespoke development based on your requirements.
• Provide training. We provide a wide range of training services from short term IT courses to degree courses to customized training based on customer’s needs.

History

CATS saw the light of day in early 1960s as International Computers Limited (Tanzania) — a wholly owned subsidiary of International Computers Limited, one of the largest Information Technology companies in Europe. In 1987, ICL (Tanzania) came under complete local management when it became Computers and Telecoms (Tanzania) Ltd.

In 1997, CATS started a new company CATS-NET LIMITED that offered Internet services, today CATS-NET is Tanzania's premier ISP.

In 2002, Computers and Telecoms (Tanzania) Ltd changed its name to CATS TANZANIA LIMITED.

Departments

CATS TANZANIA LIMITED has the following departments through which it offer all its products and services:

•  Sales Dept: This dept handles all Hardware and Microsoft sales.

• Software Dept: This dept handles all software application sales, software customization, be-spoke development and   application maintenance.

• Engineering Dept: This dept handles all networking solutions, annual maintenance contracts and PC repairs and troubleshooting.

• Institute of Management and Information Technology (IMIT): This is the training institute of CATS that offers various curiculla from short term courses to Master's Degree courses. IMIT also offer customized training based on customer requirements.
